Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac released in India for Rs 3,999
Award winning Windows visualization tool, Parallels Desktop has been released in India for Rs 3,999, which now is in its seventh iteration. Parallels desktop 7 improves over version 6 with more than 90 new features and enhancements. Some of these features include OS X Lion compatibility including Mission Control and Launch Pad for Windows, improved integration and performance, simplified transfer of data and apps from Windows to Mac and Windows support for iSight cameras and FaceTime HD cameras.
Parallels Desktop 7 even brings in features like improved full screen support and 1GB of virtualized video memory and support for 7.1 channel Dolby surround sound. For compatibility with iOS devices like the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, there is a new Parallels app for iOS that allows user to access Mac OS X or the visualized Windows OS environment all on the fly.
It also allows users to make multiple virtual machines and supports imports of virtual machines made using third party software like VMware Fusion. The software also comes bundled with a copy of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows for improved security. Impressive as all these features are, perhaps the most interesting bit is that Parallels Desktop 7 even supports the yet to be commercially available Windows 8, with the visualization supporting all the new features of the OS including connected standby.
Parallels Desktop will be available in the market starting tomorrow at Apple resellers and retail locations through out the country.
