Pokémon Go now has the legendary Kyogre available. Which means, trainers now have a chance to encounter the Sea Basin Pokemon at Gyms in Raid Battles. However, this is a limited period thing, and will be available on for a few weeks.
To battle the Kyogre, you will need to team up with other players, and only after defeating the Pokémon will you have a chance to capture it. Kyogre is a powerful Water-type, so players will want to bring Electric and Grass-type Pokémon to gain advantage over it.
Pokémon Go developer Niantic has been teasing this water-type coming to the app for a while now. The studio released a promotional image featuring the monster for Pokémon Go’s recent holiday event, which also introduced 20 more Water- and Ice-type Pokémon originally from Ruby and Sapphire to the game.
Players will be able to encounter Kyogre in Pokémon Go until February 14, just over a month after it first began appearing. Similarly, the Legendary Psychic-type Mewtwo will also be available in the game for a while yet; however, unlike other Legendaries, Mewtwo only appears in invite-only EX Raids.
Good luck trainers!
