RealMe 1, the latest smartphone by OPPO’s sub-brand, the RealMe went on sale for the first time in the Indian market. After the sale, the company announced that the device was sold out in just two minutes of its first sale. RealMe also added that it “received great response” for the first two variants of the device, the one with 6GB RAM and 128GB RAM for Rs 13,990 and the second with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage for Rs 8,990. The company also announced that this sale made RealMe 1 the best seller on Amazon India.
The next sale for RealMe 1 smartphone is scheduled to take place on June 1st, 2018. Madhav Sheth, the CEO for RealMe added, “We want to thank Indian consumers for their immense trust in us”. He went on to clarify that,”Though we didn’t plan a flash sale, the response from the Indian consumers have been way beyond our expectations. We have increased our production capabilities to ensure we the customer demands.”
Realme 1 specifications and features
OPPO Realme features a metal unibody design with a diamond black finish that seems similar to a reflective glass surface. The smartphone features a 6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Helio P60 chipset based on 12nm process coupled with the Mali-G72 MP3 graphics processor. Realme says it will also add a variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage at a later stage.
On the camera front, the Realme 1 features a 13-megapixel main camera with f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus, 1080p video recording and LED flash. At the front, it gets an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and support for OPPO’s AI algorithm. The Realme 1 skips out on fingerprint sensor but uses facial unlock. The Realme 1 includes connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G LTE. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based on ColorOS 5.0 and is backed by a 3,410mAh battery.
