With the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2018, hardcore football fans are hooked on to the game, supporting their favorite teams and players. Increasingly, many users now watch football matches on their smartphones while on the go, but others are left out due to data constrains. Telcos are doing their part to offer customers with attractive data plans to live stream each and every game.
While Reliance Jio and Airtel announced that users will be able to live stream the matches free of charge on Jio TV and Airtel TV apps. Now, BSNL has introduced a special FIFA Season STV priced at Rs 149 which offers a total of 112GB data, along with validity of 28 days, which means users will get 4GB 3G data daily. As it is just a data plan, it will not come with any voice or SMS benefits, TelecomTalk reports.
The plan will be valid between June 14 and July 15, which is exactly till the World Cup lasts. One thing to note here is that the data benefits are not applicable in Mumbai and Delhi circles.
BSNL’s move comes right after Reliance Jio introduced Double Dhamaka offer with extra 1.5GB daily data on a range of plans that are priced above Rs 300. At the same time, Jio is also offering Rs 100 discount on plans where Rs 50 is an upfront discount, and the remaining Rs 50 is given as cash back when you pay using PhonePe wallet.
