State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a new plan for its subscribers to keep up with the tariff war between telecom operators. Under the offer, a new BSNL customer can avail free 2GB of data for a validity period of 30 days.
According to a tweet by the official BSNL handle, the offer is applicable only for new BSNL data subscribers with 3G capable GSM smartphones. However, after 30 days, subscribers have to buy new data packs or plans to enjoy mobile internet services. BSNL says that the new promotional offer is based on the Digital India initiative and is all set to help subscribers who are first-time internet users.
