As the ongoing telecom war is getting intense, telecom operators have been rolling out new plans more frequently. Soon after Reliance Jio updated its Rs 98 plan, Idea Cellular has also come up with a new Rs 109 plan. Available to prepaid users in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the plan has been listed on My Idea application and on the website.
The Rs 109 prepaid plan offers subscribers with unlimited local and national voice calls, 100 SMS per day, and 1GB data. The validity of this plan is 14 days. There is, however, a cap on the voice calls – 250 minutes per day, and 1,000 minutes per week.
Beyond these free calls, users will be charged 1 paisa per second. There is one more plan from Idea Cellular priced at Rs 93 with same benefits as the Rs 109 plan. However, it comes with a validity of 10 days.
In comparison, Reliance Jio’s Rs 98 plan offers 28 days validity with 2GB high-speed 4G data. The plan also comes bundled with unlimited voice calls, 300 SMS and complimentary access to Jio app suite. Once the 2GB data is exhausted, users can still continue with unlimited data usage, but at a reduced speed of 64Kbps.
Airtel, on the other hand, also has a plan priced at Rs 93 that offers unlimited local and national calls along with unlimited roaming, 100 SMS per day and 1GB 3G/4G data with a validity of 28 days. In case of Vodafone, the unlimited plans start at Rs 199 with unlimited calls and SMS, 1.4GB daily data and validity of 28 days.
