Reliance Jio has extended its cashback offer on recharge of Rs 399 or above till December 25. The year-old telecom operator had announced its triple cashback offer in November, and last month announced plans to extend it until December 15.

As part of the triple cashback offer, Reliance Jio users get 100 percent cashback on recharge of Rs 399 or above. The cashback will be credited back in the form of Rs 50 vouchers over a period of eight months. Jio users can use these vouchers to avail discount on their next recharge value.

The cashback offer also entitles Jio users to online shopping vouchers worth up to Rs 1,899 and cashback of up to Rs 300 in partnership with select mobile wallets. The telecom operator is offering Rs 1,000 off on round trip and Rs 500 off on one way domestic flight bookings done via Yatra.com. Jio users get Rs 399 off on minimum purchase of Rs 1,500 on Ajio.com. Jio users get Rs 500 off on a minimum purchase of Rs 1,999 on Reliance Trends.

Reliance Jio is now offering Rs 50 cashback to both existing as well as new users when recharge using Amazon Pay balance. The cashback amount drops to Rs 15 on Paytm while existing users and new users get Rs 10 and Rs 50 respectively on PhonePe. On MobiKwik, new Jio users get Rs 300 cashback while existing users get a cashback of Rs 149.

Reliance Jio’s cashback offer is an attempt to get users to recharge their Jio numbers for a period of at least 70 days. On recharge of Rs 399, Jio users get 1GB per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS for a period of 70 days. The new extended offer gives same voucher benefits but reduced cashback on digital wallets.

Reliance Jio has been steadily increasing its tariff, and yet managing to offer more benefits than its established rivals. Jio’s tariff hike is widely seen as a positive move for the telecom sector and the company has even announced growth in its average revenue per user. Jio updated its tariff plans in October and these cashback offers are primarily aimed to convince its nearly 130 million subscribers to stick with the service.
