Xiaomi has already announced that it will be launching the Redmi 6 Pro on June 25. However, till now we were only dependent on rumors and leaks to get more details on the device. Now the company has released render images of the device, giving us an idea of the smartphone’s design and even its color variants. But that’s not it, we’ve also come across some leaked hands-on images of the Redmi 6 Pro, which not only confirms the design, but also gives us more insight on its hardware and software.
Both set of images were spotted on Weibo. The images confirm that the Redmi 6 Pro will be coming with a notch display and a design very similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi 8. It also features a similar housing for the vertically aligned dual-camera setup at the back. You can also see a fingerprint sensor here. Xiaomi’s images also reveal that the smartphone will be coming in a range colors of including – Rose Gold, Sand Gold, Lake Blue, Black and Flame Red.
While the hands-on images reveal a similar design, one of the images showcases the system info being displayed on the screen, which confirms that the phone will be running Android 8.1 Oreo, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Interestingly, the image also shows the device to be coming with MIUI 9.6 layered on the Android operating system.
Besides that, the Redmi 6 Pro was recently spotted on TENAA, which gave us a lot more insight on the device’s hardware. The smartphone will be featuring a 5.84-inch full HD+ display running a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels, and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Under the hood, it will most likely be carrying a Snapdragon 625 SoC and a 4,000mAh battery. While we’ve already seen the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, the device is also expected to come in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants, featuring storage of 16GB and 32GB respectively.

The dual rear-camera is said to consist a 12-megapixel primary sensor paired alongside a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. For taking selfies, a 5-megapixel camera is expected at the front. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5, GPS and Wi-Fi. There is no word on pricing yet, but thankfully we don’t have to wait too long for it. Alongside the Redmi 6 Pro, Xiaomi is also rumored to launch the Mi Pad 4 at its June 25 event.
