RIM unveils third dev alpha device, this time has a QWERTY keyboard

In the latest round of BlackBerry Jam Asia developer events, RIM unveiled another dev alpha device called the dev alpha C, but this time around the hardware centered on a device with a QWERTY keyboard like most traditional BlackBerry smartphones.

While the previous dev alpha smartphones have been based on a Full Touch designs like the leaked BlackBerry L-Series which is expected to be launched in January of 2013, the latest device is tailored for developers to test their apps for the upcoming QWERTY BlackBerry 10 smartphone that RIM has in the works.

Distribution of the device is limited to developers who submit two or more apps. The developers receiving the dev alpha C will be determined via a seeding system which RIM has specified on its blog. The offer for the dev alpha C will run between December 1, 2012 and February 5, 2013.
