After launching the POWERMaxx back in January, Salora has now entered the tablet market with its new range of tablets called Protab. The tablet series has two models called the Salora Protab that is priced at Rs 4,999 and the Salora Protab HD that is priced at Rs 5,499.
The 3G-enabled Salora Protab runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and sports a 7-inch LCD WVGA (800×480 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.5GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and 512RAM. It also includes features like a 0.3-megapixel camera, 2GB internal storage with a microSD slot for cards up to 32GB, connectivity options like Wi-Fi, USB and a 3,200mAH battery.
The Salora Protab HD too supports 3G, runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and sports a 7-inch LCD HD WSVGA (1024×600 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor, Vivante GC800 GPU and 1GB RAM. Other features included with the tablet are a 0.3-megapixel rear camera, 2GB internal storage with a microSD slot for cards up to 32GB, connectivity options like Wi-Fi, USB and a 3,200mAH battery.
The Protab and Protab HD both compete against other entry-level tablets like the Videocon VT 71 and the HCL ME U2. Both the tablets are available at retail stores across the country and on online stores like Flipkart, Infibeam and Snapdeal among others.
