Samsung has already started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update for some of its devices that include the Galaxy Tab S3, and flagship smartphones in Galaxy S-series, and Galaxy Note-series. Now, Samsung is reportedly gearing up to release the software update for mid-range smartphones as well. The update will come with a layer of Samsung Experience UI on top.
Spotted by AndroidSoul, Samsung Turkey has shared a list of smartphones that will be treated to the Oreo update. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge has already got the update earlier this month, and now it’s time for mid-range devices. According to the list, the Galaxy A-series will be the next in line.

The Galaxy A7 (2017), the Galaxy A5 (2017) and the Galaxy A3 (2017) will get the update on July 6. This will be followed by the Galaxy J-series on July 13. The list includes devices such as the Galaxy J3, the Galaxy J5 Pro and the Galaxy J7 Pro. Although Samsung is late in rolling out the updates, smartphones in the Galaxy A and Galaxy J-series typically get only one major update. While Project Treble aims to deliver faster updates, these smartphones are not expected to support it.
Do note that the information pertains to the Turkish market, so release date in other regions are likely to be different. While the rollout in other countries may take a while, we at least know the list of devices that will be treated to Oreo goodness.
