Towards the end of last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ mid-range smartphones. Now it seems, the company is working on a set of more affordable Galaxy A-series devices. The Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ have been spotted online before. Now, a leakster on Twitter has shared some light on the kind of specifications they could come with.
According to the leakster, the Samsung Galaxy A6 is likely to come with a 5.6-inch Infinity Display featuring 2220×1080 pixels resolution. It will also feature an Exynos 7870 octa-core chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy A6+, on the other hand, is said to sport a bigger 6-inch display with the same resolution as the Galaxy A6. The device is also said to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB internal storage. Both devices are expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo-based Samsung Experience UI 9.0. There is however no word on whether these upcoming smartphones too will boast dual-selfie cameras like the Galaxy A8 duo.
Samsung hasn’t revealed any date yet, but a launch does seem imminent. A recently leak hinted that the Galaxy A6 smartphones will be launched in Europe, Russia, and the Middle East. As the name suggests, the Galaxy A6 smartphones are likely to be priced in the affordable segment, below the Galaxy A8 duo.
