Samsung recently unveiled its dual camera smartphones, the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy J7+. But these are not the only dual-camera smartphones from Samsung. We have already come across rumors hinting that the upcoming Galaxy C8 is also expected to sport a dual-camera setup, and the new leak confirms the same.

Sammobile has spotted some promotional material of what is said to be the upcoming Galaxy C8 smartphone. The two teaser posters of the smartphone confirms two major features. While one confirms the presence of dual-camera setup, the other hints at the fingerprint scanner for authentication. If reports are anything to go by, the Galaxy C8 will be the company’s first mid-range smartphone to offer dual-cameras – a combination of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors which will be placed vertically at the back.

According to earlier leaks, the device is said to feature a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by an unknown octa-core SoC clocked at 2.3GHz paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage, or 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device is said to be armed with a 2,850mAh non-removable battery along with adaptive fast charging support.

On the software front, the smartphone is expected to run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. According to the TENAA listing, the device would be offered in Black and Gold color options. Rumors suggest that the smartphone will launch in China on September 7, however, there is no official confirmation on the same. As the name suggests, Samsung Galaxy C8 will be the successor to last year’s Galaxy C7. In comparison, the Galaxy C7 comes with a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC and has 4GB of RAM and 32GB storage. It sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED Flash and an 8-megapixel front camera. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
