Samsung Galaxy devices to get a custom Kindle app and free e-books every month

Amazon and Samsung today announced the launch of a new app called Kindle for Samsung. This app will be exclusively available on the latter’s Galaxy devices and will give users easy access to e-books from the store.

In addition to this app, Samsung is also launching a free book service wherein a user could get as many as 12 free e-books a year. It is a referral program, so if you refer this service to another person and he or she uses it, then you are entitled to a free e-book that month. Amazon will offer as many as four free e-books each month for you to choose from.

This service is being initially launched on the recently launched Galaxy S5 flagship device and will later be compatible with any Galaxy device running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and above.

Last month, Samsung had announced that Galaxy S5 buyers will get freebies worth $576, which include apps and services ranging from fitness-based app like Run Keeper and Map My Fitness to news-based apps like Wall Street Journal, and productivity apps like Evernote.
