Samsung is reportedly planning to launch four new smartphones in the Galaxy J-series sometime this month. The Galaxy J4 (2018) has already surfaced in the form of live images, and it was also spotted on Geekbench revealing its key specifications and features. Now, details about the Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6 have surfaced revealing more details about the upcoming smartphones.
Targeted at the developing markets such as India and China the Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6 are likely to include S Bike mode and Ultra Data Saving feature, similar to other Galaxy J-Series smartphones. Now, according to a report on SamMobile, the Galaxy J6 will feature a 5.6-inch AMOLED Infinity Display with HD+ resolution (720×1480 pixels).
The Galaxy J6 is also expected to be powered by an Exynos 7870 octa-core SoC paired with 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM options with 32GB and 64GB storage options, and a microSD card slot for further expansion. For shutterbugs, the smartphone is likely to come with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The smartphone will also include a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication placed is at the back, similar to what we have seen on other smartphones with full-screen displays.

Talking about the Galaxy J4, it was recently certified by Taiwan’s National Communication Propagation Committee (NCC). The listing has revealed a 5.5-inch standard HD display, as opposed to an Infinity Display on the Galaxy J6.
Under the hood, it is expected to be powered by an Exynos 7570 quad-core SoC, paired with 2GB and 3GB RAM options, but there is no word on the onboard storage option. In the photography department, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera is expected, with both featuring an LED flash. With support for dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE connectivity, the Galaxy J4 will be armed with a 3,000mAh battery, the listing reveals.
Lastly, both smartphones are tipped to run Android 8.0 Oreo OS with Samsung Experience UI on top. As of now, there is no word on the pricing and launch date of the smartphones, but we expected to know more as the launch draws closer.
