Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo available to pre-order in India for Rs 38,990

Barely a couple of days after announcing the Galaxy Note 3 Neo for India, the phablet is now available on pre-order on the company’s official online store. What’s interesting is that the Galaxy Note 3 Neo is available for Rs 38,990, which is approximately Rs 2,000 lower than its launch price of Rs 40,900.

As per the website, Samsung is offering this price only to the first 1,000 customers who pre-book it, however we doubt if the offer will last only till then. Typically, we have noticed that Samsung’s official pre-booking prices are always higher than the price offered by third-party retailers both online and offline.

The Galaxy Note 3 Neo offers a 5.5-inch 720p display with 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory and features Samsung’s new Exynos hexacore processor that has two 1.7GHz Cortex A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex A7 cores. It also sports an 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front facing cameras.

However, barring the new processor and the pleather back, there is not much difference between the Galaxy Note 3 Neo and 2012′s Galaxy Note II, which is currently available for Rs 30,000 and is still a great value for money product with no visible lags even with a quad-core processor. On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 3 offers a much better display and camera and has an octa-core processor that gives great performance.

Now it all boils down to the actual street price of the Galaxy Note 3 Neo to decide whether it is actually worth buying or one can save money with the Galaxy Note II or spend a little extra and get a better product in the Galaxy Note 3.
