After a gap of one year, Samsung will be finally launching a new Galaxy Note device today in India. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8, first launched in the international markets on August 23, will today mark its debut in the country. To recall, its predecessor, Galaxy Note 7, never made it to India owing to the widely reported battery issues. However, the Galaxy Note 8 is said to be a much safer, and also an improved phablet.
Samsung has reportedly received over 2.5 lakh registrations for the Galaxy Note 8, with almost 1.5 lakh on Samsung’s official website, and 72,000 on Amazon India. You can still head over to Samsung’s India website or Amazon India to pre-register for the device. While we await the official word, reports claim that the Galaxy Note 8 will be priced somewhere between Rs 69,900 and Rs 74,900. We will be covering the launch event live.
