Electronics giant Samsung is likely to launch the second version of its digital voice assistant platform, Bixby, the Bixby 2.0 with its upcoming Galaxy Note 9. The company has been working on revamping Bixby for quite some time. As reported by SamMobile, the company first talked about Bixby 2.0 last year when it hinted at a “major update” for Bixby. This statement indicated a much-needed step in the right direction for Samsung after it launched the Bixby. The reason for this is because Bixby was lagging behind in a number of core functions that its competition could do at the time.
The company hinted at a “bold reinvention” of the platform where it would turn Bixby into an intelligence tool from your average digital assistant that would perform basic functions. As pointed by the report, Gray G Lee, the head of AI Center at Samsung Research stated that the company is working hard on the re-imagination.
