Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is already one of the most leaked smartphone of this year. While the South Korean company will take covers off the device at an event in New York tomorrow evening, new details have now emerged that detail camera and S Pen improvements coming to the flagship this year.
In addition to the leaks, Samsung itself jumped the gun and uploaded a promotional video of the device, that showed what to expect from Note 9 this year. Now, leaks emerging about the Galaxy Note 9 claims that the smartphone will come with new AI features. Samsung is reportedly planning to give early Galaxy Note 9 buyers a choice between the AKG 50 wireless Bluetooth headphones and 15,000 Fortnite V-Bucks. While we have already heard that the Galaxy S Pen stylus will support Bluetooth, a new leak claims that it will come in different color options.
The new details regarding the Galaxy Note 9 were shared a Reddit user who cites an unnamed Samsung trainer as the source. The post on Reddit claims the Galaxy Note 9 will come with AI-based features that will optimize the camera functionality according to the scene detected, such as landscape, portrait, food among others. It seems Samsung is learning from Huawei to offer AI-based scene detection, which has become a hit on the P20 Pro.
The camera is also said to have speech bubbles that will pop out when it finds imperfections such as “blurrieness, eyes blinking and shaky hand” in the image. Samsung is also said to include wireless noise-cancelling headphones worth $299 from AKG as part of pre-order. Since Fortnite is now believed to be exclusive on the Galaxy Note 9, Samsung will also offer option to choose 15,000 V-bucks instead of the wireless headphones. In addition, Samsung will offer both the wireless headphones as well as Fortnite V-bucks when customers pay $100. The details shared by the Reddit user have been corroborated by Dutch site Techtastic, which got confirmation via retail packaging for the Galaxy Note 9.
The leaks suggest that the S Pen stylus will let users double tap a button to flip camera mode, which means the S Pen will become a remote shutter. The S Pen is also said to deliver up to 30 minutes of use by charging for just 40 minutes. It is also said to come in different color options and Samsung will separately sell S Pen styli in other colors. A report by WinFuture had earlier claimed that S Pen will be able to control music player with Bluetooth functionality.

Other changes expected this year include changes to DeX mode where the Note 9 will enter the mode without a dock, simply by connecting a USB Type-C to HDMI cable. In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Note 9 is tipped to feature a 6.3-inch or 6.4-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 chipset, 6GB of RAM and up to 512GB storage. It will feature horizontally stacked dual rear camera setup and a fingerprint sensor placed below it.
The Galaxy Note 9 is also rumored to pack a larger 4,000mAh battery and might run Android 9 Pie out of the box. With Galaxy Note 9, Samsung seems to be returning to the basics of Note series but will that be enough to win back customers who have jumped ship to iPhone, remains to be seen.
