A new leaked image from Russia has surfaced, revealing the back of the retail box of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The phone is expected to be announced on August 9, but it appears that packaged retail units are already making their way to retail stores all over the world. While the back of the box is entirely in Russian, it’s possible to make out exactly what the specifications and features of the upcoming Samsung smartphone will be.
The unit photographed is a 128GB storage unit, and has much of its specification sheet detailed. The phone will come with a 6.4-inch QHD+ super AMOLED screen, a dual-camera setup at the rear with a 12-megapixel (f1.5/2.4) dual-aperture primary sensor and a second 12-megapixel (f2.4) sensor, an 8-megapixel front camera, 960fps slow-motion video recording, the S Pen stylus slotted into the phone, 6GB of RAM, a 4,000mAh battery, AKG headphones in the box, Samsung Pay and IP68 water resistance.

The specifications are in line with what we’ve been expecting from the new device, and is quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that was launched last year in many aspects. The phone will likely be powered by the Exynos 9810 SoC for some regions (including India) and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset for other regions. One significant change is an increase in the battery size, as Samsung is looking to go back to large batteries on the Note series after the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 debacle in 2016.
