Earlier this week, Amazon India confirmed that the Galaxy On7 Prime will exclusively sell on its platform, however, the official date of launch was still concealed. Today, however, Samsung has reportedly sent out invites for an event it is hosting on January 17, and that it is likely to launch the Galaxy On7 Prime in India.
According to what the Amazon India listing of the Galaxy On7 Prime revealed, the smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) screen. It will be powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor. The device will come in two variants, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, and another with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage. The storage will be expandable up to 256GB via microSD cards.
As for camera, the Galaxy On7 Prime will sport a 13-megapixel camera of aperture f/1.9 on the front and back. The rear camera will be backed with an LED flash. Galaxy On7 Prime will support Samsung Pay Mini for mobile payments. It has a hardware-based home button below the display, flanked by capacitive buttons on the sides.
While we expect the device to go on sale the same day as the launch, you can still head to Amazon India and select the ‘Notify Me’ button, to get notifications and information when the smartphone goes on sale.
