Samsung GALAXY S IV to launch on 15th March: Report

While there is no doubt that Samsung won’t be unveiling the Galaxy S IV at this month’s MWC, there is certainly a lot of interest about the launch timeline as it could potentially hurt the chances of competing Android flagship smartphones from HTC and Sony. Unlike last year when Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S III in May, the flagship device is now expected to be announced on March 15 and is reported to be up for sale from the beginning of the April, if the guys at SamMobile are to be believed. Earlier rumors indicate that the unveiling could take place in Apple’s own backyard with a ‘Mobile Unpacked’ event scheduled for March 22 in NYC.

The Galaxy S IV is believed to feature a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED 1080p display and run on Samsung’s latest Exynos 5 Octa processor. Other features include Android v4.2.1 Jelly Bean, 2GB of RAM, and a 13.0 megapixel rear camera with support for 1080p Full HD Videos at 30FPS. The device will also flash a 2.0-megapixel camera in the front which will be enable shooting videos at 720p HD. There will be two variants in black and white made available.

It is expected that the Galaxy SIV will reach Europe and Asia by the end of April, and America, Australia and Africa around May or June.
