Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have been launched in India and will start shipping from May 5. Among the launch offers, Reliance Jio and Samsung have partnered to offer double data benefits to Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ users. The offer will be valid only for Jio Prime customers using the new Galaxy S8 devices.
With this promotional offer, Prime customers who recharge with minimum Rs 309 can get 2GB of high-speed 4G data daily. The validity of this promotional offer is for eight months, which means a total of 448GB of data (56GB per month). The plan is an extension of the present Dhan Dhana Dhan offer that Reliance Jio has for Prime customers. Users also get unlimited local and national outgoing calls, unlimited SMS (100 per day) and unlimited access to Jio suite of apps such as JioMusic, JioTV, JioMovies and JioMoney among others.
The Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer for existing Jio Prime customers offers 1GB of high-speed 4G data per day with a recharge of Rs 309 for 84 days from the day of recharge. Once the promotional period ends, the subsequent recharge will be for Rs 309 with validity of 28 days.
This is the second-time Reliance Jio has tied up with manufacturers to offer a deal to customers. With the ongoing IPL 2017 season, Jio is offering data benefits to Vivo smartphone owners. Under their new Vivo Jio Cricket Mania offer, Reliance Jio users with a Vivo smartphone can avail anywhere from 1GB to 168GB free 4G data.
The offer is more of a lottery system, giving users a chance to support their favorite team and win data depending on their team’s performance. The Vivo Jio Cricket Mania offer does come with certain terms and conditions – like the user cannot use the Jio SIM in any other device or they lose all benefits. It is unclear if the new Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ offers too come attached with similar terms and conditions.
