The Samsung Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage has received a price cut again. This high-end variant of the Galaxy S8+ was launched in India back in June for a price of Rs 74,900. Back in July, the smartphone’s price was slashed by Rs 4,000 bringing it down to Rs 70,900. This time Samsung has reduced the price by Rs 5,000. The smartphone is available for purchase with the discounted price of 65,900 in Midnight Black color on Samsung’s e-store.
The price change was first shared by Mumbai based mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom on Twitter. Interestingly, the lower variant of the Galaxy S8+ with 4GB RAM and 64GB is still priced the same at Rs 64,900. The Galaxy S8 also hasn’t received any price drop. This could mean that the price drop is temporary and given as a special offer of sorts.
To recall, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ flaunts a 6.2-inch Quad HD Infinity display. Under its hood runs in-house 64-bit Exynos 8895 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz SoC. In other markets, the Galaxy S8 duo is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. For photography, the smartphone sports a 12-megapixel rear camera of f/1.7 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). Up front, it houses an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. ALSO READ: Samsung Galaxy S8+ Review: It’s glorious, but with some caveats
