We’re just days away from the official unveiling of Samsung’s anticipated Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Yet, there is no stopping the rumor mill from leaking out new information every now and then. The latest addition is an ad banner for the Plus variant of the flagship smartphone which confirms the narrower bezels and the 128GB of default storage.
The banner ad, leaked through Twitter account @UniverseIce, shows off the Galaxy S9+ in what appears to be Midnight Black color with a prominent ‘Happy New Year’ message and 128GB storage written below the renders. Although the render on the ad banner is not coming from the official source, given that it confirms the past number of leaks, it appears believable. The Plus model is expected to include 128GB of internal storage with an option to further boost it via microSD card.

Samsung will be revealing the next set of its flagship Galaxy S9 duo at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC 2018). As Android Headlines reports, the company could commercially launch the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ in few weeks after the MWC announcement. It is also speculated that Samsung will do so globally, which essentially means major countries, including India, should have the device around the same time. Past reports indicate the phones could make their debut on March 16.
The Galaxy S9 duo is expected to retain most of the design elements but come equipped with improved hardware. What makes the upcoming line of Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones even more interesting is that the camera specifications are said to be even more enhanced than the current Galaxy S9 lineup.
As for the specifications, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are expected to be one of the first smartphones to come equipped with the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC running under the hood. In certain markets, including India, the phones will pack Exynos 9810 equivalent of the chipset. Of the two, the Galaxy S9+ is further expected to pack a variable aperture that is capable of auto-adjusting based on given light environments. Retaining the same display size and resolution as the predecessors, the Galaxy S9 duo is likely to come in four colors including Midnight Black, Lilac Purple, Titanium Gray, and Coral Blue.
