Samsung Galaxy S9+ Sunrise Gold Specifications
Samsung Galaxy S9+ Sunrise Gold is a mid-cycle refresh to the flagship smartphone announced in March of this year. It does not bring any big changes in terms of the hardware apart from the change in color.
The Galaxy S9+ features metal and glass design and is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 octa-core chipset in India. The Galaxy S9+ comes with a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display with dual curved edges and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. While the standard model comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage, the Sunrise Gold variant bumps the memory to 128GB.
The biggest selling point of Samsung Galaxy S9+ is the new camera setup. The primary camera on the Galaxy S9+ is a 12-megapixel sensor with dual aperture that can be mechanically switched from a wider f/1.5 to a narrower f/2.4. The Galaxy S9 series is the first smartphone to support variable aperture. In addition, the Galaxy S9+ also features a secondary sensor at the back that provides 2x optical zoom and portrait mode. The smartphone sticks with the same 8-megapixel front camera with autofocus seen on its predecessor.
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy S9+ supports WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and 4G LTE. It runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box along with Samsung experience. The Galaxy S9+ is backed by a larger 3,500mAh battery, which is larger than the 3,000mAh battery found on the Galaxy S9.
