Back in April, Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 4 range of tablets in three screen-size variants — 7-inch, 8-inch and 10.1-inch. While these are yet to be officially launched in India, 3G variants of the 8-inch and 10.1-inch tablets are listed on the company’s India eStore along with their prices.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 3G is priced at Rs 23,960 and the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1-inch 3G is priced at Rs 30,498. The tablets however are currently out of stock and chances are you will be able to buy them when they have been launched. There is currently no word on the 7-inch variant.
As far as specifications are concerned, both the tablets share quite a few common features. They flaunt a WXGA (1280×800 pixels) display and are powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, paired with 1.5GB of RAM. They also feature a 3-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card, and connectivity options include 3G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.
On the software front, the tablets run on Android 4.4 KitKat and come preloaded with apps like Group Play, Samsung Link and WatchON and more. The only specification that is different on the tablets is the battery — the 8-inch tablet has a 4,450mAh battery, while the 10.1-inch tablet has a 6,800mAh battery.
There is currently no word on when Samsung plans on launching these new tablets in India.
