Samsung launches REX 60, REX 70, REX 80 and REX 90 in India to take on Nokia Asha, starts from Rs 4,280

Like we reported, Samsung today launched its REX series of feature phones to take on Nokia’s Asha. The series consists of four phones – REX 60, REX 70, REX 80 and REX 90 – that start from Rs 4,280 and go up to Rs 6,490.

The REX 60 features a 2.8-inch QVGA resistive display, smart Dual-SIM feature that we saw in the Galaxy Grand, a 1.3-megapixel camera and boasts 15 hours of talk time. Like Nokia’s Swipe UI, Samsung is using its TouchWiz UI and comes with Facebook and Twitter integration.

The REX 70 has a 3-inch capacitive QVGA display, smart Dual-SIM and a 2-megapixel camera. Samsung claims 13 hours of talktime. The rest of the features are the same as the REX 60.

The REX 80 also has a 3-inch capacitive QVGA display, smart Dual-SIM, 3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and 14.7 hours of talktime.

The REX 90 sports a 3.5-inch capacitive HVGA display, smart Dual-SIM with true hot swap, Wi-Fi, 3.2-megapixel camera and 15 hours of talk time.

While Nokia Asha full-touch phones come with 40 free EA games, Samsung’s REX series get 10 Gameloft games as well as popular IM services like Gtalk, Yahoo Messenger among others.
