Samsung to release the Galaxy Tab 3, Galaxy Tab 3 Plus and Galaxy Note III at IFA: Report

The hype around the Samsung Galaxy S 4 has barely died down, and now reports have surfaced claiming that the South Korean company maybe releasing as many as three devices soon. According to reports on SamMobile Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the Galaxy Note III, Galaxy Tab 3 and a Galaxy Tab 3 Plus at the IFA trade fair in Berlin later this year.

Not a lot is known about these devices in terms of specifications, but the anonymous source did reveal that the Galaxy Tab 3 will be the successor to the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and will sport a 7-inch screen. After the launch of the Galaxy Tab 3 though, Samsung will stop updating its older tablets and the Galaxy Tab 2 will be one of the last devices to get the Android 4.2 update.

The source didn’t reveal a lot about the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus either and only said that this premium tablet and will go up against the likes of the Apple iPad and Sony’s new Xperia Z tablet. The tablet is likely to feature either a 10.1-inch or an 11.6-inch Super AMOLED display and will be powered by an Exynos 5 chipset.

The Galaxy Note III on the other hand, as we have reported earlier, is most likely to feature a 5.9-inch OLED display and will be powered by an Exynos Octa 5 chip.

It will be interesting to see if Samsung actually releases all the above devices together at IFA.
