In an effort to push its self-developed TizenOS, Samsung has today launched the Z4 smartphone in India. The handset was officially announced last week. Priced at Rs 5,790, the Z4 will be available in offline retail stores from Friday, May 19.
Samsung Z4‘s highlight is its front and rear camera which the company claims are “optimized for social media.” The handset sports a 5-megapixel primary camera on the rear with dual-LED flash, and a 5-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash on the front for selfies and video calling. Alongside, Samsung has also made improvements to the camera app onboard. It now includes features like beauty mode, live filters, and profile template which enables users to capture ‘social media ready enhanced images’.
Samsung Z4 features, specifications
The Samsung Z4 has 4.5-inch WVGA display with 2.5D curved glass on top, which offers the device its premium look as well as protection. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device has 8GB of internal storage onboard, which is further expandable up to 128GB. In the pack, Samsung Z4 comes with two interchangeable back cover options in black and gold.
The smartphone houses a 2,050mAh battery accompanied by Samsung’s ‘Ultra Power Saving Mode’ to maximize battery hours. Samsung Z4 connectivity suite includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, GPS, and GLONASS. It runs on Tizen OS 3.0 and comes preloaded with features like S Bike mode, My Money Transfer, My Galaxy Stories and others.
