Sony, speaking to the BBC, have denied the Nikkei newspaper report that they're about to axe 10,000 jobs

Sony is about to terminate 10,000 employees this year due to the losses the company has registered in the past. According to Nikkei newspaper, the company will cut off 6 percent of its total workforce globally before the end of this year. The report mentions that this loss-making electronics firm will request its seven directors to give back their bonuses who served through the fiscal year to March, including Chairman Howard Stringer. For now, Sony has not officially commented on this report. We will update this post as soon as we hear more.
