Sony unveils new Exmor RS camera sensors
Sony has unveiled new Exmor RS camera sensors that include a stacked CMOS image sensor. There are three sensors in total, two are 8-megapixel sensors and one is a higher-end 13-megapixel sensor.
Apart from this, Sony has also new lens with an f/2.2 aperture which also integrates a new autofocus module. All of these will also have HDR recording capabilities. Sony already supplies its sensors to Apple and Samsung with both the iPhone 4S and Galaxy S III integrating Sony made sensors, so it will be interesting to see if Apple integrates this new sensor in the iPhone 5.
