Sony Xperia Go up for pre-order for Rs 18,999: Report
Some time back we had reported that Sony had unveiled a waterproof and dust resistant phone called the Xperia Go, which ran Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Today, KnowYourMobile India is reporting that the device is up for pre-order with online retailer HomeShop 18 for Rs 18,999.
Other features of the device include a 3.5-inch display with a HVGA resolution of 320×480 pixels, a 5-megapixel camera, a 1GHz dual-core processor and support for shooting HD video. Earlier, Sony has intimated that the device would be up for grabs in Q3 and now that the device is up for pre-order we can expect the device to be launched shortly.
Considering, it’s waterproof and scratchproof credentials, we are pretty sure that Sony is gunning for the Motorola Defy+ which also touts similar features in an Android dressing. Furthermore, Sony is also promising an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in Q4.
