Sony Xperia J launched in India for Rs 18,399

Officially unveiled at IFA in August alongside the Xperia T and Xperia V, the Xperia J is a decidedly mid-range Android smartphone that Sony mobile has launched in India. Priced at Rs 18,399, the Android 4.0 smartphone combines a 9.2mm slim profile in a package that offers mid-range specs.

The Xperia J packs in a 4-inch display with a resolution of 854×480 pixels, a 1GHz single-core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, 5-megapixel camera, a VGA front-facing camera and a 1,750 mAh battery.

Sony says that it will be upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but that update will only come next year.

    Insanely priced for just better battery, ics on the board and supposedly 3g video calling feature. Nothing more than that. It should have been price near Xperia U.

    it’s just a waste of money to buy this phone. i will go with nokia’s lumia either 710 or 820…..windows and nokia is on a roll as nokia’s existing lumia phones will be updated to 7.8 and 820 and 920 have the greatest wp8…….i love nokia’s 920 ……………its a biggest innovation ………nokia will rock…….just wait and watch………….the faults of nokia lumia phones is going to deduct by updating it.

      I wonder what will be new in windows 8. except the front screen changes nothing is know about this OS. Have an eye on HTC 8X before going for 920

    Sony is confusing customers.. I thing xperia is planing for A-Z models and seriously still single core??? better go for Sensation XE 19,990
