Sony Xperia SP now available for pre-order for Rs 25,990

A week back, Sony had announced the Xperia SP in India for Rs 27,490, which is now available on Flipkart on pre-order for Rs 25,990. The ecommerce portal is offering the phone at this price till April 24, which is when it is also expecting the phone to get released.

The Xperia SP has an aluminum chassis defining the body. The smartphone comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, runs on a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro dual-core processor with 1GB RAM. It also features an Adreno 320 graphic card for better gaming experience. The phone features an 720p 4.6-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with Sony’s trademark Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology. It also features an 8-megapixel primary camera with Exmor RS sensor technology and LED flash, and is capable of recording full HD videos at 1080p.

Other features in the phone include a 0.3-megapixel front camera, 8GB of on-board memory, and support for NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G. It packs in a 2,370mAH battery which offers talk time of approximately 19 hours. It is 9.98mm thick and weighs 155 grams.

However, one can get the HTC One X, which has a better processor and specifications for almost the same price. For slightly more, one can even get the Samsung Galaxy S III.
