Sony unveiled the Xperia Z2 tablet at the MWC earlier this year. Now the successor to last year’s Xperia Tablet Z1 is available in India on e-commerce site Infibeam ahead of an official launch, priced at Rs 49,990.
One of the talking points on the Xperia Z2 tablet is its thickness, which at 6.4mm is even thinner than Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S (6.6mm) that launched in India moments ago. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Xperia Z2 tablet flaunts a 10.1-inch Triluminous WUXGA (1920×1200 pixels) display and is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC paired with 3GB of RAM.
The tablet also features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2.2-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card, and a 6,000mAh battery. On the software front, the tablet runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and also boasts water resistant capabilities.
