The Motorola Moto E effect has seen companies in India launch Android KitKat smartphones priced under Rs 10,000. Spice is the latest company to join the club, launching the Stellar 600 priced at Rs 9,999.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Spice Stellar 600 sports a 6-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Also included is 4GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.

The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,500mAh battery that the company claims is good enough to survive five hours of talktime and 170 hours on standby mode.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slot, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and as mentioned above, the smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. The company is preloading the smartphone with apps like WhatsApp, Opera, OLX and is also offering 2GB of free cloud storage on Spice Cloud. The handset is also bundled with a Stylus and a free flip cover.

At this price point, the Stellar 600 will be up against the Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 A102, which too boasts a 6-inch display. The former though has a huge advantage of running on Android KitKat, while the latter is still stuck on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Check out the comparison table below.
