Swype Beta updated, includes support for Hindi

Nuance’s software for smoother and faster typing, Swype Beta has got an update (v1.4.9.13905) for its keyboard for Android smartphones. The update offers support for Hindi language, apart from featuring better editing option and fixes done to remove bugs.

The most interesting part of the update is the support for languages like Hindi and Belgian Dutch. The keyboard has been around for quite some time, and though it had added support for Hinglish featuring some popular Hindi and English slangs last year, the support for Hindi was missing in it. Now with the addition, users will be able to type in Hindi as well.

Apart from this, it also gets some tweaks in editing feature and offers better Smart Editing to enable users to type in faster with the help of new improvements. It now has fixed the bug that would cause the software to crash on a Gingerbread devices on rotating it into landscape mode. Other fixes include the one where some voice input icon was shown instead of Dragon logo. Moreover, the Word Choice List behavior in Polaris Office has also been improved.
