Reliance Jio Infocomm (RJIL), a subsidiary of RIL, which is working towards launching high speed broadband services at an extraordinarily low cost, has roped in Tech Mahindra to prepare various specialized solutions for its upcoming 4G network.

According to sources, Tech Mahindra has started working on the project. Two companies of Tech Mahindra are engaged in developing solutions for RJIL. First is the CanvasM, which specializes in digital promotion, network and utility VAS. It also develops solutions for innovations in messaging, content, voice and data.

Second company is the Mahindra Comviva which will provide mobile financial solutions. A Reliance 4G consumer will have the benefits of both cash-free and card-free transaction medium.

Prepaid recharge solution is also expected to be provided. Details about the deal are yet to be announced formally.

In an exclusive interaction with Zee Media, CP Gurnani, MD, Tech Mahindra on the expertise of Tech Mahindra on 4G telecom said, “We are ready for future. We have good solutions for multiple screens like mobile phones, Tablet, TV, and PCs. In the technology space, two parallel movements are going on; one is the low cost Aakash Tablet and another is 4G. Low-cost Aakash along with 4G will result into a ‘digital storm’. Tech Mahindra is headed towards a digital storm.”
