Telegram and Telegram X apps seem to have disappeared from the Apple App Store. While some attribute the disappearing of the apps to the recent launch of the Telegram X app for Android, no such link has been officially established.
First pointed out by a Reddit user, the app disappeared from the App Store. When we searched for the app on the App Store, we didn’t find any relevant search results. In the form of a comment on the Reddit thread, Telegram Support said, “This is not intended. Hopefully it will be resolved quickly. Both versions should come back soon.”
This app disappearing mystery has taken place just a day after the released of the Telegram X app on Android. Telegram X is essentially an experimental app that is committed to reinventing Telegram in terms of speed, quality of animations, ease of use etc. Users can log in with their regular Telegram account. As checked at the time of writing the story, both apps are available on Google Play Store.
“This app is experimental and may or may not eventually replace the existing official app. But even if it doesn’t, it will speed up the development of Telegram by allowing us to quickly test new approaches and technologies,” said the Telegram team in a blog post.
Additionally, TDLib, Telegram Database Library, has also been released for developers. It is basically a tool that allows third-party developers to build custom Telegram apps.
