A Pune-based civil lawyer, Arati Joglekar, recently wrote an email to Apple CEO Tim Cook, thanking him for the Apple Watch that helped saved her life during a frightening event. The 53-year-old lawyer had purchased the Apple Watch to track her health, after a lot of consideration. However, given the turn of recent events, she could only be happy that she took that decision.

GadgetsNow reported Arati saying, “I am a practicing lawyer in Pune and Mumbai for over 30 years. My job involves a lot of stress throughout the day. For the last few months, I was suffering from high stress and tension-related health issues. I recently switched to iPhone 8 Plus from the iPhone 6. At the time of purchasing my new iPhone, I got to know about the Apple Watch and its features. Given the stressful conditions of my life, I decided to buy an Apple Watch to monitor my basic health. I started using the Apple Watch casually to track my fitness, especially after attending the gym.”

On a busy day in the courtroom, Arati couldn’t help but lose her temper, as one of her associates missed getting a signature on an important document. At this point, the Apple Watch started buzzing on her wrist and presented a notification stating that her heart was beating at 136 beats per minute, which is way above average. Upon seeing the notification, Arati released the danger of critical health incident and pursued to take a break. This also made her realize how her health is getting affected because of constant stress at work.

After going back home, Arati shared the story with her and family and son, who suggested her to write an email to Tim Cook thanking him. Her son even found Tim Cook’s email address online and wrote an appreciation mail narrating the whole incident. Little did they know that they would be getting a response for that email from the man himself. Tim Cook responded to the mail saying, “I’m happy your Mum is fine. Thanks for your note and kind words. Best, Tim.”
