Tim Cook, Satya Nadella congratulate Google's new CEO Sundar Pichai

@satyanadella thanks for the wishes:)

Google announced the formation of a new parent company called Alphabet, and also the appointment of Sundar Pichai as the new Google CEO. Unsurprisingly, wishes poured in from all quarters, including some of Pichai’s counterparts like Apple CEO Tim Cook, and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella among others.

Cook, Nadella and LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner were some of the first to wish Pichai, and Google’s new CEO acknowledged these wishes with a reply.

Some others who wished Pichai included former CTO of Facebook Bret Taylor, and Search Engine Land co-founder Danny Sullivan.

It’s not just the industry CEO’s either. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi too congratulated Pichai on being appointed as Google’s new CEO.

As mentioned above, Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin formed a new umbrella company called Alphabet. This will act as a parent company for Google, as well as others like Calico, Fiber, Google Ventures, Google Capital, Google X, Life Sciences, and Nest. Sundar Pichai, on the other hand, will head Google’s search, Internet services like YouTube, Maps.
