Unofficial Vine app 6Sec comes to Windows Phone 8 devices

Windows Phone users don’t seem to worry about popular apps not being available on their platform. Earlier this year, Nokia released the #2instawithlove app for Lumia users to make up for the absence of an official Instagram app, and now developer Rudy Huyn has released an unofficial Vine app for Windows Phone 8 devices called 6Sec.

The app spotted by WPCentral, does not involve any ‘hacked’ APIs and instead uses a relay server to push videos to Vine’s servers. You can directly upload short videos to your tweets and share them to your Twitter timeline. Huyn has also added the ability to pin the app to the Live Tiles on your phone. The app is also getting updated on a nearly daily basis adding features to bring it on par with the Vine apps on iOS and Android.

To download the 6Sec app, head over to the Windows Phone Store.

I cannot install it. It says that I don’t have rights enough to do so. Do I need to have a developer account in order to install it?
