Following Oppo and OnePlus, now Vivo has finally released its first fast charging smartphone in the form of Vivo NEX. The flagship smartphone comes equipped with a 22.5W charger which is said to power the device completely in an hour. Now a new report claims that Vivo is planning to bring its fast charging technology to two of its upcoming smartphones as well.
GlobeMobiles reports that two Vivo smartphones, code named V1809A and V1809T, have recently been sited going through the 3C certification website. Interestingly, these devices have been listed to carry a power adapter called V2323A-CN, that can support up to 22.5 W charger, which is the same that the Vivo NEX comes with. The charger includes outputs of 5V/2A, 9V/2A or 10V/2.25A.
While there aren’t other details mentioned about the devices, the website claims them to be a part of Vivo’s upcoming X series of smartphones, likely to be called X23. More details are expected to come out soon.
Vivo getting a fast charging technology doesn’t come as a surprise, as the company is led by BBK Electronics, which is also the parent company of Oppo and OnePlus, both of whom have their own fast charging standards. OnePlus smartphones have long been known to carry its Dash charging technology, while Oppo recently introduced VOOC charging technology with its flagship Oppo Find X smartphone. There is also a Super VOOC charging technology, which is available on the Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition.
