Vivo X21 was the highlight of the day as Vivo India launched the smartphone with the market for Rs 35,990. This is the first smartphone in India with in-display fingerprint scanning technology. The X21 was not the only smartphone launched in the Indian market as Alcatel launched its Alcatel 3V in India. Moving on from launches, the day was full of leaks including the price for the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Band 3, first official images of the Motorola Moto Z3 Play and Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL screen protectors. Let’s jump in to talk about all these topics briefly to give you more information.
Vivo X21 with in-display fingerprint scanner launched in India for Rs 35,990
Vivo India has just launched its latest smartphone, the Vivo X21 in the market as a Flipkart exclusive. The company announced the launch of the device at an event that was held in New Delhi. Vivo has priced the X21 for Rs 35,990 and the device will go on sale starting May 29, 2018.
Vivo X21 comes with a 6.28-inch FHD+ display with 2.5D Super AMOLED panel, 2280×1080 resolution, and 402 PPI display density. The display comes in 19:9 aspect ratio along with a notch on the top. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with Adreno 512 GPU, 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The device comes with a second hybrid SIM slot that can also be used to add a microSD card to expand the storage up to 256GB.
The device comes with a dual camera setup on the back of the device with a 12-megapixel with f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Vivo has opted for a 12-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture for the front of the camera. Both the front as well as the back camera on the smartphone are capable of shooting video in 4K resolution. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based FunTouch OS 4 while being powered by a 3,200 mAh non-removable lithium-ion battery. Xiaomi Mi Band 3 price leaked
Pricing details about the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 have surfaced on Weibo, Chinese social media platform. It indicates that the next generation fitness wearable will be priced at RMB 169 (around Rs 1,800). The pricing seems to be in line with the retail price of Mi Band 2, which was launched in India at Rs 1,799.
While the leak does not reveal anything beyond the retail price of Mi Band 3, it does indicate that Xiaomi is planning another cheap wearable device. The Mi Band 3 is expected to feature a large, full-touch 2.5D curved display and might drop the physical button at the front.
Moto Z3 Play images leak out on the internet
The new live photos of the Moto Z3 Play have leaked out on the Internet and from what we can see, the rumors have not been far off from the actual device shown in the photos. The new images show a closeup of the dual-camera setup on the back of the phone which is set in a circular module as is the previous models.
Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL screen protectors leak
A new leak on Weibo shows the alleged tempered glass screen protectors of the upcoming Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The leaked images show a design similar to that of the Pixel 2 family with Pixel 3 sporting thicker bezels as compared to the Pixel 3 XL.

The screen protector also shows that the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will feature front-facing stereo speakers like last year’s models. It also hits at notch coming to Google Pixel 3 XL along with a possible implementation of a dual front-facing camera system with the third-generation Pixel smartphones.
Alcatel 3V with 18:9 display launched in India
Alcatel has launched its budget smartphone, the Alcatel 3V in the Indian market. The Alcatel 3V was first introduced at Mobile World Congress 2018 in February and it features a modern design with a taller display and thin bezels and 18:9 aspect ratio.
Alcatel 3V features a 6-inch display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and support for taller 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT8735A quad-core CPU coupled with 3GB RAM (as opposed to 2GB RAM found on global model) and 32GB storage.
It also supports expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot. The Alcatel 3V also comes with dual rear camera setup featuring a combination of 12-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. The primary 12-megapixel camera has f/2.2 aperture and supports phase detection autofocus. At the front, there is a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash for those low-light selfies.
