Vivo earlier this month launched the world’s first smartphone with in-display fingerprint scanner called X20 Plus UD. Now, looks like the company is gearing up to launch another smartphone that will be a first of sorts. Dubbed Vivo Xplay 7, the smartphone is expected to boast a whopping 10GB of RAM.
First spotted by Androidheadlines, alleged presentation slides about the Vivo Xplay 7 suggest that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 845 SoC. Apart from 10GB of RAM, the smartphone will also come with 512GB of storage that is on par with what many laptops offer. The smartphone is also said to flaunt 4K OLED display. The smartphone is expected to launch in two variants – 256GB internal storage variant with 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB internal storage variant with 10GB of RAM. The presentation slides also claim that the smartphone will have a screen-to-body ratio of 92.9 percent. In the camera department, Vivo’s rumored flagship will apparently feature two Sony Exmor RS sensors, and an impressive 4x optical zoom capability.
Previous rumors suggested that the smartphone will come with a dual-camera setup at the back with a combination of 12-megapixel + 8-megapixel snappers with LED flash. Rumors also suggest that the phone will come with a Sony IMX401 sensors that will support for 4x optical zoom.
Keeping the phone ticking will be a 4,000mAh battery. Apart from the under-display fingerprint sensor, the smartphone is also said to feature Face Unlock 2.0. On the software front, the phone is expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
