Vivo has introduced a new smartphone in its Y-Series range. Called Y81, the new Vivo smartphone is up for sale in Vietnam, but there is no word on when it will be launched in India. The Vivo Y81 is priced at VND 4,990,000, which roughly translates to Rs 15,000. And considering Y-series smartphones are eventually launched in India, we can expect the Y81 to launch in the country.
The Y81 follows a design language similar to the iPhone X. It comes with a full edge-to-edge display on the front, with a notch on top that houses the front camera, earpiece and proximity sensors. The power / sleep button and the volume rocker are on the right. At the back, you have the iPhone 7-like antenna bands along the top and bottom. Vivo has ditched a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication, and is relying on face unlock feature instead.
