Vodafone has launched a low cost 3G smartphone in India called the Vodafone Smart. The handset is priced at Rs 4,995 and is based on the Android 2.2.1 OS aka Froyo. On its purchase, Vodafone users will get a special introductory offer wherein they will get double the amount of free data on their 3G subscription till the end of this year. The Vodafone Smart sports a 2.8-inch capacitive display, runs on a 528 MHz ARM processor, houses a 2.0MP camera at the back, a 3.5 mm audio jack, offers connectivity features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
