Vodafone has launched a new plan for its prepaid users, but the plan comes with a few must-know fine prints. To begin with, the new plan offers 1GB daily data, however, only at a 2G speed. Also, the plan is limited to Vodafone subscribers in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh circles.
Besides the data, the Rs 299 plan also offers “unlimited” voice call, but that comes with a daily and weekly limit. The calling is limited to 250 minutes per day, and 1,000 minutes per week. The plan comes with 100 SMS per day, and a validity of 56 days.
As reported by TelecomTalk, the plan is currently exclusive to Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. But it is expected to be made available for Vodafone users in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and other circles where Vodafone has “poor 4G coverage”.
The plan is quite underwhelming, particularly because of the 2G speeds on offer, and the FUP on the voice calls. With similar plans, providers like Airtel, Reliance Jio and BSNL provide voice calls without any daily or weekly limit.
Vodafone is lately being reported to be actively working at spreading its 4G VoLTE trails across selected cities in India. Vodafone on Monday announced the expansion of the services in Rajasthan, which will soon also be available for subscribers in Jaipur and Jodhpur. And slowly, the company aims to make the VoLTE services available across the country.
