For a customer’s benefit, may this telecom war never end! In the race to become the most attractive network provider, Vodafone has now rolled the dice. The telco has unveiled five new prepaid ‘Super Plans’ that offer a combination of data, SMS, and unlimited local, STD, and national roaming calls. Except for one little bump in the offer; it is limited to users in Tamil Nadu.
In total, there are five plans that have been unveiled. To begin with, there is a Rs 509 plan, which has a validity of 84 days, and offers unlimited local, STD, and national roaming calls, 1GB of data per day, and 100 SMS daily. Next is a Rs 458 plan, which is the same, but with a validity of 70 days. There is also a Rs 347 plan, which has a validity of 28 days and apart from unlimited local, STD, and national roaming calls, offers 1.5GB data per day, and 25 paise per SMS (local or national).
Also unveiled is a Rs 199 plan, which is similar to the Rs 347 plan, except it offers 1GB data per month. Finally, comes the smallest pack, which costs Rs 79, with a validity of seven days, and offers unlimited local and STD calls, 500MB of data, and local and national SMS charged at 25 paise.
These plans are available to subscribers using 2G, 3G, or 4G handsets. Apart from the My Vodafone app, the new Super Plans are available to customers from Vodafone Stores, Mini stores, and multi brand retail outlets.
Last week, Vodafone also launched what it calls ‘Red Together’ plan for postpaid customers, wherein users can avail group plans. According to the number of users in a group, the plan rentals come with discounts. For example, Red Together plans with two members get 10 percent discount, while three members can avail 15 percent discount. As for those with more than four members, 20 percent discount on plan rentals is applicable.
The scheme is applicable to all plans, starting with Red Basic which costs Rs 399. Under the plan, you can avail unlimited local, STD, free incoming on national roaming, 10GB data, and data carry forward. The maximum limit to carry forward unused data is 200GB.
